About the event

In this workshop we will explore the various theories of parts work and incorporate experientially a number of expressive arts approaches that can be applied to this modality. Alongside key theory, this workshop is hands on and practical.

Understanding the nature of parts work is inherently of deep value in understanding our clients, and what part of them may be present at any time during their healing journey. Knowing how to approach these parts, relationally with compassion and curiosity while seeking to understand them, is what we will explore.

Adding the creative and expressive arts to this process, enhances the quality of our client’s journey, especially when we are in the presence of “young parts” and “challenging parts”.

This has been designed for therapists, counsellors, social workers and psychologists, as well as anyone who is interested in ego state and parts work and the creative and expressive arts. This is not a training in parts work, but if you’ve ever wondered about it and its relevance in a clinical practice than this will be a workshop for you.
