Introduction To Trauma & The Role of The Expressive Arts

Hosted by Psycholozin (in Greece), this training is an experiential introduction to understanding trauma and the role of the expressive arts in the therapeutic process. Together we will explore a variety of perspectives on trauma, drawing on the wisdom of Dan Siegel, Bonnie Badenoch, Cozolino, Jenina Fischer, and others. This topic will be explored through a brain/body lens, and will cover topics such as:

• What happens to a person who has experienced overwhelming events in their life;

• What happens to a person's nervous system when they have experienced overwhelming events in their life;

• The three phased approach to healing trauma; and

• How we can introduce the benefits of the expressive arts along the healing journey.
