About the event

The thoughts that come to us are like threads, some feel good, short, others long, deep and uncomfortable. And very often, we take our thoughts as truth, so we don’t want to look too deeply into these thoughts because, what if they’re true? A more interesting question with regards to our thoughts however is, where do our thoughts come from? To answer this question, we need to look at things a little bit differently.

This workshop takes us through a mindful exploration of line work and all our different thoughts (positive, negative, neutral, limiting etc) and helps us see the lack of truth in limiting thoughts and the strength in positive thoughts, and the pain of sitting on the fence with neutral thoughts, whilst creating beautiful art at the same time.

Materials:

1. Variety of sharp pencils or art line felt tip pens (anything in between .2 or .5)

2. White or brown drawing paper - for those of you who have gesso you can gesso any type of paper you have around but this is not essential
